If you are looking for a snack that everyone will love, these bacon brown sugar chicken tenders are always a winner. The combination of salty bacon and sweet brown sugar creates a beautiful caramel glaze that keeps the chicken juicy and flavorful, while a touch of cayenne adds just enough heat to keep things interesting.

These are wonderful for game day because you do not need forks or plates. Just set them out with some dipping sauce and watch them disappear. I like to use a wire rack when baking them if I have time, as it helps the air circulate and makes the bacon extra crispy all the way around.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 8 boneless, skinless chicken tenders
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

👩‍🍳Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, stir together the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

Roll each chicken tender in the sugar mixture until lightly coated, then wrap each piece of chicken with one slice of bacon.

  4. 4

Arrange the wrapped chicken on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar mixture over the top of the tenders.

  5. 5

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

  6. 6

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or BBQ sauce.

💡 Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can reheat them in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit or in an air fryer at 360 degrees until the bacon crisps back up. For the best texture, try baking them on a wire rack set inside your baking sheet.
