These bar nuts are a total crowd favorite in my kitchen. They are inspired by a classic recipe from the Union Square Cafe, and they truly live up to the hype. I love adding a few mini pretzels to the mix for a bit of crunch, and the fresh rosemary gives them such a wonderful fragrance.

This recipe is incredibly easy to whip up when guests pop over for a drink. The secret is to chop your fresh rosemary quite finely so it coats every single nut and pretzel perfectly. Just be warned, you will definitely want to double the batch because they disappear fast.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsalted roasted mixed nuts
  • 1 cup mini pretzels
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown muscovado sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt flakes

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

Spread the mixed nuts and pretzels on a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes until they are lightly browned and fragrant.

  3. 3

While the nuts are roasting, whisk together the melted butter, finely chopped rosemary, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

  4. 4

Remove the hot nuts from the oven and immediately pour them into the bowl with the rosemary butter.

  5. 5

Toss everything together well with a spatula until every nut and pretzel is evenly coated in the buttery mixture.

  6. 6

Serve while warm or let them cool to room temperature before snacking.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

You can store these in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. If you want to warm them up again, just pop them in a low oven for a few minutes before serving.
