Cincinnati chili dip, often called Skyline dip, is one of those appetizers that everyone loves because it is simple and hits the spot. It features a base of cream cheese topped with hearty Cincinnati style chili and plenty of melted cheddar cheese.

Since this recipe is so easy, it is a great one to keep in your back pocket when you need a fast snack to share. If you want the best results, try grating your own cheddar cheese from a block so it melts perfectly over the top.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14 ounce) can Cincinnati style chili
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

👩‍🍳Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

Spread the softened cream cheese in an even layer across the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking dish.

  3. 3

Spoon the chili over the cream cheese layer and bake for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

  5. 5

Place the dish back into the oven and bake for another 5 to 8 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

  6. 6

Serve warm with a bowl of corn chips for dipping.

💡 Tips

You can assemble the cream cheese and chili layers up to 24 hours in advance and keep them in the fridge until you are ready to bake. If you have leftovers, keep them covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and reheat them in the oven at 375 degrees until hot.
