Easy Dessert Pie Bar
Set up a fun DIY pie station that lets everyone build their perfect slice of heaven.
recipesbynani.comThis dessert pie bar is my favorite way to host a gathering. It takes the pressure off me to bake ten different things, and my guests always have so much fun customizing their own plates. You just need a few simple pies and a spread of toppings to get the party started.
My top tip is to keep your pies at room temperature for about thirty minutes before serving so the flavors really shine. If you want to get creative, add a little bowl of crushed nuts or warm fudge sauce to the mix.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 pre made fruit pies like apple or cherry
- 1 pre made chocolate silk or cream pie
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh berries
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings
- 1 jar caramel sauce
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Bake or prepare your store bought pies according to the package directions and let them cool completely.
- 2
Pour the heavy cream and powdered sugar into a large bowl and whip until soft peaks form.
- 3
Arrange the pies on a large platter or table with a serving knife nearby.
- 4
Place the whipped cream, berries, nuts, chocolate, and caramel sauce into separate small bowls with spoons.
- 5
Let your guests slice their favorite pies and load them up with their chosen toppings.
💡 Tips
Store any leftover pie in the fridge for up to three days. Keep the toppings separate so the whipped cream stays fresh and the fruit does not make the pie crust soggy.
