Perfect Crispy Oven Baked Bacon
This is the easiest way to get perfectly crispy bacon for a crowd without the messy grease splatters on your stove.
recipesbynani.comThere is nothing quite like the smell of bacon in the morning, but standing over a hot skillet to flip strips while grease pops everywhere is rarely fun. Cooking bacon in the oven is my favorite trick because it saves me so much time and keeps my kitchen clean.
Since the bacon cooks evenly on a sheet pan, you end up with perfectly uniform slices every single time. It is a wonderful method when you are hosting a big family breakfast or if you want to prep a batch to keep in the fridge for sandwiches and salads throughout the week.
๐งบ Ingredients
- 1 package of thick or thin cut bacon
- Aluminum foil or parchment paper
๐ฉโ๐ณInstructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper to make cleanup much easier later.
- 3
Lay the bacon slices out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure the pieces do not overlap too much so they cook evenly.
- 4
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes depending on how crispy you like your bacon and how thick the slices are.
- 5
Remove the pan from the oven once the bacon reaches your preferred level of crispiness.
- 6
Transfer the bacon slices to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess fat before you serve.
๐ก Tips
If you have leftover bacon, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can reheat individual slices quickly in the microwave or a toaster oven. For even crispier results, use a metal cooling rack placed on top of the baking sheet so the air can circulate underneath the bacon.
