When the week gets busy, I love having a recipe that takes care of itself. This Crockpot pasta is a staple in my kitchen because it is so comforting and requires almost zero effort from me while it cooks.

My favorite thing about this dish is how creamy and flavorful the sauce gets as the pasta cooks right in the slow cooker. If you want a little extra zing, feel free to stir in some fresh herbs or a handful of baby spinach right before serving.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 1 pound rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
  • 3 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Add the browned ground beef, marinara sauce, dried Italian seasoning, and broth to your slow cooker.

  2. 2

Stir everything together until well combined.

  3. 3

Add the uncooked pasta to the mixture and make sure it is mostly submerged in the liquid.

  4. 4

Cover and cook on high for about 90 minutes or until the pasta is tender.

  5. 5

Stir in the mozzarella and parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

  6. 6

Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. When reheating, add a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce as the pasta tends to soak up the liquid while sitting.
