I used to rely on drive thru lattes to get me through the morning, but I quickly learned that I needed something more substantial to keep my energy up. These homemade protein bars have been a lifesaver in my kitchen because they are easy to make ahead and they actually keep me full until lunch.

You can toss these bars right into your gym bag or purse without worrying about them falling apart. They are sturdy, satisfying, and go perfectly with a piece of fruit or a little cup of yogurt on the side.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 cup flax seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Line a square baking dish with parchment paper so the bars are easy to lift out later.

  2. 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, protein powder, flax seeds, and cinnamon.

  3. 3

Add the peanut butter and honey to the dry ingredients and stir until the mixture is thick and well combined.

  4. 4

Fold in the mini chocolate chips.

  5. 5

Press the mixture firmly into your prepared baking dish using the back of a spoon or a piece of parchment paper to get it nice and flat.

  6. 6

Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least two hours to set before slicing into bars.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store these bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week to keep them fresh. If you want to make a larger batch, you can wrap them individually and freeze them for up to three months.
