I love making these salmon bites on busy weeknights because they cook so much faster than a whole fillet. The honey and garlic make a sticky sauce that tastes just like your favorite takeout, but it is much better for you.

Make sure you do not crowd the pan when you sear the salmon pieces. If you give them enough space, they will get those beautiful crispy edges that make this dish so delicious.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 1 pound skinless salmon fillets, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel and place them in a medium bowl.

  2. 2

Toss the salmon with salt, pepper, and cornstarch until each piece is lightly coated.

  3. 3

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic to make the glaze.

  4. 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.

  5. 5

Add the salmon cubes to the hot pan in a single layer and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until they are golden brown on the bottom.

  6. 6

Flip the salmon pieces and cook for another 2 minutes until they are cooked through.

  7. 7

Pour the honey garlic sauce into the pan and let it bubble for about 1 minute until it thickens and coats the salmon.

  8. 8

Remove from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving.

πŸ’‘ Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. These are great for meal prep and taste wonderful when served cold over a fresh garden salad for lunch the next day.
