If you love a good wing night, these gold fever wings are about to become your new favorite. They feature a perfect balance of honey mustard sweetness and hot sauce heat, all tied together with plenty of melted butter.

I love making these for game days or casual dinners because they are so simple to pull together. You get that satisfying restaurant style crunch right in your own oven without any of the hassle of deep frying.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, patted very dry
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce, such as Frank's RedHot
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with foil, placing a wire rack on top for better air circulation.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

Place the dried wings in a large bowl and toss them with the seasoning mixture until they are evenly coated.

  4. 4

Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, then flip them and bake for another 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

While the wings are finishing, combine the honey mustard, hot sauce, and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly for about 5 minutes until the butter is melted and the sauce has thickened slightly.

  6. 6

Remove the wings from the oven and toss them in a large bowl with the prepared sauce until fully coated, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat them in the oven to maintain their crunch. If you want even crispier skin, try placing the seasoned wings on the rack in the fridge for a few hours before baking.
