Easy Baked Turkey and Cheese Sliders
These warm, cheesy turkey sliders are the ultimate crowd pleasing comfort food for any gathering.
recipesbynani.comThere is something truly special about a warm slider fresh from the oven. These turkey and cheese sandwiches are a staple in my kitchen because they are so simple to put together and everyone always asks for seconds.
You can use whatever deli turkey you prefer, but I think a nice smoked turkey works best here. If you want to make them ahead of time, just assemble the rolls and keep them covered in the fridge until you are ready to pop them in the oven.
๐งบ Ingredients
- 12 pack of Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 pound deli sliced turkey breast
- 6 slices swiss or provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
๐ฉโ๐ณInstructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
- 2
Keep the rolls connected as a block and slice the entire slab in half horizontally so you have a top and bottom layer.
- 3
Place the bottom half of the rolls into your prepared baking dish.
- 4
Layer the turkey slices evenly over the rolls, followed by a layer of cheese slices.
- 5
Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
- 6
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, poppy seeds, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 7
Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
- 8
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
๐ก Tips
These sliders are best served warm straight from the oven. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat them in the oven or an air fryer to keep the rolls from getting soggy.
