There is something special about the contrast between a hot, melty pizza crust and a fresh, cold salad. This recipe uses naan bread to make dinner happen in just thirty minutes, which is perfect for those busy weeknights when you want something satisfying but simple.

My best tip for this one is to wait a few minutes before adding the salad to the crust. If you put the lettuce on while the bread is piping hot, it will wilt quickly. Let the pizza cool just a bit so the salad stays nice and crunchy.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of naan bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup Caesar salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup croutons
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic together.

  3. 3

Place the naan bread on a baking sheet and brush the garlic oil lightly over the top of each piece.

  4. 4

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the naan.

  5. 5

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

  6. 6

While the bread bakes, toss the romaine lettuce in a bowl with the Caesar dressing.

  7. 7

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it sit for two minutes.

  8. 8

Top the warm cheesy crust with the dressed salad, sprinkle with croutons and extra Parmesan, and add a little black pepper before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

If you want extra protein, add some sliced grilled chicken breast on top of the salad. You can store leftovers separately, keeping the salad in the fridge and the crust at room temperature, then assemble them right before you eat.
