These caramel apple nachos are one of my favorite ways to satisfy a sweet tooth when I want something quick. Everyone loves them because they are so much easier to eat than traditional caramel apples, and you can get creative with all your favorite toppings.

My best tip is to squeeze a little lemon juice over your apple slices right after you cut them. It keeps the fruit from turning brown so your nachos stay looking fresh and bright until you are ready to serve.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 3 large crisp apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons toffee bits or mini marshmallows

👩‍🍳Instructions

  1. 1

Slice your apples into thin wedges and arrange them in an overlapping layer on a large serving platter.

  2. 2

Place the chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl and heat them for thirty seconds at a time until smooth.

  3. 3

Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the apple slices.

  4. 4

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the apples.

  5. 5

Top the dish with your chopped nuts and toffee bits or marshmallows right before serving.

💡 Tips

These are best enjoyed right after assembling so the apples stay nice and crisp. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for a day, though the apples may soften slightly.
