Lemon Parmesan Chicken is a true kitchen favorite because it tastes fancy but uses very simple ingredients. The combination of crispy chicken and tender beans cooked in the same pan makes cleanup a breeze for busy evenings.

My best tip is to use fresh lemon juice rather than the bottled kind because it really brightens the flavors of the parmesan cheese. If you have extra time, let the chicken sit in the marinade for a few minutes before cooking to help the flavors soak in.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 pound green beans trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large lemon sliced into rounds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Cut the chicken breasts into even pieces and season them well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

Mix the parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs on a plate, then press each piece of chicken into the mixture to coat it.

  3. 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  4. 4

Add the chicken to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until it is golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

Move the chicken to one side of the pan and add the green beans and lemon slices to the other side.

  6. 6

Add the butter to the pan and let it melt over the beans, stirring them occasionally until they are tender and slightly charred.

  7. 7

Serve the chicken hot with the beans and lemon slices right on the plate.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. This dish is delicious served alongside some steamed rice or a fresh crusty piece of bread to soak up the extra lemon butter sauce.
