I love making this mezze board because it looks so impressive but is actually very easy to put together. It is my favorite way to host a gathering without spending all day in the kitchen. You get a little bit of everything, from creamy hummus to crunchy cucumbers and tangy feta cheese.

The secret to a great platter is to group items together and fill in any small gaps with nuts or grapes. It makes the board look abundant and welcoming for your guests, and everyone can just pick what they like best.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 1 cup classic hummus
  • 1 cup tzatziki or baba ganoush
  • 1 cup kalamata olives
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 2 Persian cucumbers, sliced into rounds
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 4 ounces feta cheese, cubed or crumbled
  • 1/2 cup roasted almonds or pistachios
  • 4 pita breads, warmed and cut into triangles
  • 1/2 cup grapes or dried apricots
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Choose a large wooden board or a big flat platter to hold all your snacks.

  2. 2

Place your dips like hummus and tzatziki into small individual bowls and set them on the board first to act as anchors.

  3. 3

Arrange the sliced pita bread and cucumber rounds around the bowls of dip.

  4. 4

Fill in the larger open spaces with the cherry tomatoes, bell pepper strips, olives, and feta cheese.

  5. 5

Use the nuts and fruit to fill any tiny gaps left on the board until it looks full and colorful.

  6. 6

Drizzle a little olive oil over the hummus and sprinkle fresh parsley over the top just before you serve it.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in separate airtight containers in the fridge for up to three days. You can easily make this vegan by swapping the feta for more olives or a dairy free cheese alternative.
