Fresh and Sweet Peach Salsa
This vibrant peach salsa balances sweet, juicy fruit with a little spicy kick for the perfect summer snack.
recipesbynani.comWhen peach season arrives, I love finding new ways to enjoy them beyond just desserts. This salsa has become one of my favorite things to make because it brings together fresh summer produce in a way that feels bright, light, and totally delicious.
I spent some time perfecting the ratio of ingredients to make sure it is not too sweet or too sharp. The secret is keeping the fruit and vegetable pieces uniform so every bite has a bit of crunch, sweetness, and tang. It is a real crowd pleaser at any backyard gathering.
🧺 Ingredients
- 3 large or 4 medium fresh peaches, diced
- 1 small red bell pepper, diced
- 1 small ripe tomato, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeds and membranes removed, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Dice the peaches, red bell pepper, tomato, and red onion into small, even pieces.
- 2
Finely chop the jalapeño and fresh cilantro.
- 3
Add all the prepared ingredients into a medium mixing bowl.
- 4
Gently stir everything together to combine.
- 5
Taste the salsa and add an extra pinch of salt if needed.
- 6
If you have the time, let the salsa chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to help the flavors meld together, though you can serve it right away too.
💡 Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. This salsa is wonderful spooned over grilled chicken or salmon, stuffed into fish tacos, or simply served alongside your favorite crispy tortilla chips.
