This fruit salad is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the harvest season. It uses crisp apples and juicy grapes paired with sweet clementines and tart blackberries for the perfect balance of flavors in every single bite.

My top tip for this recipe is to toast your pecans just before serving. That extra warmth and crunch really makes the whole dish feel special and brings out the natural oils in the nuts.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 crisp apples, chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 2 clementines, peeled and segmented
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped and toasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Prepare the fruit by chopping the apples, halving the grapes, and peeling the clementines.

  2. 2

Place the apples, grapes, clementine segments, and blackberries into a large mixing bowl.

  3. 3

In a small jar or bowl, whisk together the honey and lemon juice to make a light dressing.

  4. 4

Drizzle the dressing over the fruit and toss gently to coat everything evenly.

  5. 5

Sprinkle the toasted pecans over the top just before you are ready to serve.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one day. If you want to keep the apples from browning, toss them in a little extra lemon juice right after chopping. This salad is wonderful served alongside a scoop of vanilla yogurt for a light breakfast.
