Fresh Mango Salsa
A bright and zesty salsa that brings a pop of tropical sunshine to any meal.
recipesbynani.comFresh mango salsa is one of my favorite ways to brighten up a simple dinner. The combination of sweet fruit with a little bit of heat from the jalapeño makes it perfect for topping grilled chicken or white fish.
I always recommend using mangos that are just slightly soft to the touch because they offer the best sweetness. If you want a milder salsa, be sure to remove all the seeds and white ribs from the jalapeño before dicing it up.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangos, peeled and diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 pinch of salt
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Peel and dice your mangos into small, bite sized cubes.
- 2
Combine the diced mango, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro in a medium mixing bowl.
- 3
Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the top and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- 4
Toss everything together gently until well combined.
- 5
Let the salsa sit for ten minutes so the flavors can mingle before you serve it.
💡 Tips
This salsa tastes best when served within a few hours of making it. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one day. It is excellent served alongside crunchy tortilla chips or spooned over grilled salmon.
