Fresh Pineapple Salsa
This bright and sweet pineapple salsa is the perfect topping for grilled fish, chicken, or your favorite taco night.
recipesbynani.comThere is something truly special about the combination of sweet pineapple and savory peppers. It is one of my favorite things to whip up when I want to add a fresh pop of color and flavor to a meal.
My biggest tip for this salsa is to use the freshest pineapple you can find. If you have extra time, let the ingredients sit in the fridge for about twenty minutes before serving so all those wonderful juices can get to know each other.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh pineapple, finely diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Place the diced pineapple in a medium mixing bowl.
- 2
Add the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño to the bowl.
- 3
Drizzle the lime juice over the mixture and sprinkle with the salt.
- 4
Toss everything gently until the ingredients are well combined.
- 5
Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for a few minutes to let the flavors blend.
💡 Tips
This salsa tastes best on the day it is made. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. It is delicious served with warm tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled salmon.
