This Cheeseburger Macaroni Soup is a family favorite around here because it combines everything we love about a classic cheeseburger with the comfort of a warm bowl of soup. It is thick, creamy, and filling enough to keep everyone happy at the dinner table.

My secret for the best flavor is to make sure you brown your ground beef well before adding the liquids. If you have any leftovers, the pasta will soak up the broth overnight, so just add a splash of water or milk when you reheat it to bring back that perfect texture.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion together until the meat is browned and the onion is soft.

  2. 2

Drain any excess fat from the pot and stir in the minced garlic for about one minute until it smells great.

  3. 3

Pour in the beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, and dried oregano.

  4. 4

Bring the mixture to a boil and stir in the elbow macaroni.

  5. 5

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 8 to 10 minutes until the pasta is tender.

  6. 6

Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until the soup is smooth and cheesy.

  7. 7

Season with salt and pepper to your liking before serving.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Serve this soup with a side of crusty bread or garlic toast for dipping. If you want to keep the leftovers for later, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Add a little extra broth when warming it up to reach your preferred consistency.
