There is nothing like a fresh Caesar salad when you make the dressing yourself. It is thick, savory, and brings just the right amount of tang to your favorite romaine greens.

My biggest tip is to use high quality anchovy paste or fresh fillets because they provide that signature depth of flavor that makes a Caesar dressing stand out. Whisk the oil in slowly to make sure the dressing gets nice and thick.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons anchovy paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

In a medium bowl, combine the minced garlic, anchovy paste, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.

  2. 2

Whisk these ingredients together until they are smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

Add the mayonnaise and whisk again until the mixture is creamy.

  4. 4

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper until fully incorporated.

  5. 5

Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if you prefer more lemon or pepper before serving over your salad.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store any leftover dressing in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to five days. This dressing also works great as a dip for fresh vegetables or as a spread on a turkey sandwich.
