There is something so satisfying about a good meatball, especially when it is lightened up with turkey. These Greek meatballs have become a staple in my kitchen because they stay moist and are bursting with fresh flavors like parsley and garlic.

I love serving these for a quick weeknight dinner because the feta sauce comes together in minutes. My biggest tip is to not overmix the meat, as that keeps them tender rather than tough.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parsley, feta, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix just until combined.

  3. 3

Roll the mixture into about 12 to 15 evenly sized meatballs and place them on your prepared baking sheet.

  4. 4

Drizzle the meatballs with olive oil and bake them for 18 to 20 minutes until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

While the meatballs bake, stir together the Greek yogurt and lemon juice in a small bowl to create your dipping sauce.

  6. 6

Serve the warm meatballs with the creamy feta sauce on the side.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

You can serve these over a fresh Greek salad or tucked into warm pita bread for a great lunch. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
