Nani's Rich Brookie Cookies
These cookies give you the best of both worlds by swirling fudgy brownie batter into classic chewy chocolate chip cookie dough.

- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add one egg and one teaspoon of vanilla to the butter mixture, beating well.

Mix in half of the flour, the baking soda, and the salt to create your basic cookie dough base.

Scoop out half of the dough and place it in a separate bowl. Fold in the chocolate chips and set aside.

To the remaining half of the dough, add the cocoa powder, the second egg, the remaining vanilla, the milk, and the rest of the flour to create a thick brownie batter consistency.

Take a small spoonful of each dough and gently swirl them together in your palm before rolling into a ball.

Place the balls onto your prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers still look soft.
