Bunny Bait is one of my favorite treats to put out when spring arrives. It is so easy to throw together because you do not even need to turn on your oven. The mix of crunchy cereal and pretzels coated in creamy white chocolate is addictive.

My grandkids love picking out the colorful candies from the bowl. If you want to make it look extra festive for a holiday, just swap out the colors of the candies to match the season.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 6 cups rice cereal squares
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
  • 1 cup pastel colored M&M candies
  • 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper so your snack mix does not stick.

  2. 2

In a very large bowl, combine the rice cereal and the mini pretzels.

  3. 3

Melt the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl using short intervals of thirty seconds and stirring in between until it is completely smooth.

  4. 4

Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal and pretzels, then use a spatula to toss everything gently until it is evenly coated.

  5. 5

Spread the mixture out in a thin layer onto your prepared baking sheet.

  6. 6

While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your candies and sprinkles over the top so they stick well.

  7. 7

Let the mixture sit at room temperature for about thirty minutes until the chocolate is firm, then break it into bite sized pieces to serve.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

Store your leftover Bunny Bait in an airtight container at room temperature to keep the cereal crunchy. If you live in a very warm house, keeping it in the refrigerator helps the chocolate stay firm and prevents melting.
