This beef and noodle dish is a favorite in my kitchen because it comes together in just a few minutes. It is the perfect solution for those busy evenings when you want something homemade and savory without spending hours at the stove.

I love using ramen noodles for this because they cook so fast, but you can use any thin noodle you have in your pantry. Make sure your pan is nice and hot before you add the beef to get that lovely brown color.

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or thinly sliced steak
  • 2 packs ramen noodles, seasoning packets discarded
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸณInstructions

  1. 1

Boil the ramen noodles according to the package directions, then drain them well and set aside.

  2. 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium high heat.

  3. 3

Add the beef to the pan and cook until it is browned and slightly caramelized, breaking it up as you go.

  4. 4

Stir in the garlic, ginger, and brown sugar, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add the cooked noodles to the pan along with the soy sauce and sesame oil.

  6. 6

Toss everything together for two minutes until the noodles are well coated and heated through.

  7. 7

Garnish with the sliced green onions and serve immediately.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

You can add a handful of fresh spinach or shredded carrots to the pan during the last minute of cooking for some extra color and nutrition. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
